Now that we are well into the summer and many of us are taking vacations, I have been thinking back to some of the crazier trips I’ve taken. To be perfectly clear, I have no aversion to staying at a lovely 5-star hotel, but some of my most adventuresome trips were much simpler—and quite exhilarating. I have zip-lined in the jungles of Costa Rica, gone river rafting in Wyoming, come face to face with bison and elk in Yellowstone National Park, and even gone scuba diving with whale sharks in Honduras. Whew! That’s a lot of adventure! But the common denominator in all of my daring trips was to see our big, beautiful world. This made me realize that life is an adventure and meant to be explored!
How often have you done something bold—like plan an adventurous trip—just because it’s what you’ve always wanted to do? We usually put these types of trips on our “bucket list.” I ask you to take a moment today and start planning an exciting adventure that would be special to you. There’s a huge, beautiful world out there for us to see and explore . . . and when we do something crazy, it gives us a whole new perspective on our lives.
Our passion gets ignited when we go on an adventure. We build our self-confidence when we overcome our fear of failure. And we feel a rush of exhilaration when we accomplish something near and dear to our hearts. Plus, we might just wind up on the trip of a lifetime—yes, life is an adventure and meant to be explored!
In my upcoming book, Journey of the Lightworker, my main character, Kyra, goes off on an adventure, too . . . and finds a whole new world out there that she never took time to see and explore. She learns to appreciate many new cultures, while making some amazing new friends. On her journey, she rediscovers her authentic self and reignites her passion for living life to the fullest.
This week, I challenge you to take time to plan an adventure. Choose something gets you really excited and fuels your adrenaline! Life was meant to be joyful, silly—and, yes, even full of crazy adventures.
Have fabulously crazy week, my friends!
