The Art Of Transformation

You may not know this, but The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is one of my all-time favorite books! If you haven’t yet read this wonderful story, it’s about a young man from Spain who goes on an amazing journey seeking his Personal Legend, or his destiny. Along the way, he meets an Alchemist who teaches him the art of transformation. As you may recall, an Alchemist is a wizard who transforms base metals into gold.

In my upcoming novel, Journey of the Lightworker, I explore the concept of transformation. When we go through a major transformation, something in our lives dramatically changes. Transformations can come to us in many forms: a new relationship, a new career, a move to a new city, or even a new creative outlet that allows us to express who we really are. This can be an awesome, scary, exciting, difficult, challenging, exhilarating—and sometimes even painful period as the transformation unfolds. The Universe is asking us to move forward on a new path for our highest and best good.

The past several years, I have also felt myself moving through an enormous period of change, forcing me to embrace the art of transformation. I moved into a new home; I ended a long-term relationship; and I took a leap of faith and began writing a novel—even cutting back my work hours to ensure I’d have enough time to meet my new challenge. As I like to put it, “I may not always know what I’m doing, but I just keep doing it every single day.” Perseverance has taught me well—to act with confidence even when I didn’t know exactly how I would accomplish something.

During this period of change, I kept my faith that everything was happening for a reason. The Universe was working with me to ensure my life would be happy, healthy, and full of love. I just needed to keep moving forward and welcome the change, knowing my good would indeed eventually appear. In metaphysics, we call this “God’s timing,” not our timing.

This week, I will embrace the amazing transformation that continues to take place in my life. I am open to all the wonderful changes that are manifesting, and I will not be afraid to follow the new path that is unfolding before me. It is divinely meant to be. I encourage you to do the same—and view the changes in your life as miracles from God taking you on an amazing new journey.

All my love to you this week. XO Shari
