If The Words You Spoke Appeared On Your Skin, Would You Still Be Beautiful?

If the words you spoke appeared on your skin, would you still be beautiful? I came across this terrific question recently, and it’s perfect for my topic today! Taking my last week’s thought to surround ourselves with positive people, this week I want to share how important it is to speak only positive words. Of course we wouldn’t intentionally say negative things about others—that’s not our true nature. But sometimes we don’t even realize we are doing it.

If you were to write down all the words you spoke in one day on a piece of paper, what would you see? Is a little cleaning up in order?! Remember, we manifest our intentions first with our thoughts, second with our verbal and written words, and third through our actions. If we focus on something and then speak ill of it, we are focusing on a negative intention. This might even turn into a habit we need to break.

What would cause us to speak negative words about someone? Ha! I have the answer: We are often projecting our own negative feelings or insecurity on to that person, because we wish to change that very aspect of ourselves. So now you many be thinking, Huh? Here’s an example: a person who dislikes people who gossip, but who then turns around and gossips about someone else. They continue to attract people who gossip through their own words and actions. The Universe is providing them with the opportunity to change that habit or aspect of themselves to learn a lesson.

If we choose to speak only positive words . . . we can manifest our true loving intentions. So, I ask you to be honest in evaluating your answer to this question: “If the words you spoke appeared on your skin, would you still be beautiful?”

David Beckham had the word “Love” tattooed on his left hand following the birth of his daughter in 2011. A few years earlier, in 2007, he had the words “Pray for me” inked on the inside of his right wrist. These words are so much more positive words than the words that appear on his right arm: “Let Them Hate as Long as They Fear.”

This week, I release all negative words from my past and forgive myself. With all of my heart, I endeavor to speak only positive words in every situation. I will endeavor to speak my truth, but in a loving and kind manner. Thank you, everyone, for your lessons and words. XO Shari
