Love Is The Most Powerful Force

I just finished reading the most amazing book by Marianne Williamson called A Return to Love: Reflecting on the Principles of A Course in Miracles. Many of you may already be familiar with this book, but ironically, it’s how the book came to my attention that I want to share with you.

I was going about my business as usual when a new acquaintance randomly asked if I’d read A Return to Love. I said, “No. It sounds great,” but, honestly, it wasn’t my intention to run out and buy it, as my schedule was a bit hectic at the time. Then, within a two-week period, two more people recommended this book to me . . . and voilà! I realized the Universe was telling me: Shari, read that book!

In A Return to Love, Marianne shares her wisdom that love is the most powerful force. She says we each can become a miracle worker by accepting God into our hearts. And, through our application of love in all areas of our lives (relationships, career, health, etc.), we find inner peace, ultimately creating an authentic and fulfilling life.

Now you may question, “Why would we ever choose to live our life any other way?” Ah, the answer lies in our fears. We are born perfect loving children of God, but as we grow up, we learn to fear and repel all the good stuff that surrounds us. We learn to be afraid, hate, condemn, doubt, criticize, and be jealous. But once we recognize these negative tendencies, we then have the choice to heal ourselves, find love again, and turn our lives around. We return to love because love is the most powerful force.

I recognized many years ago that my childhood experiences taught me to feel “less than adequate” and unloved. Through much hard work, I learned to “let go” of that part of my inner child who didn’t feel loved . . . and now I only accept loving people into my life. It’s my daily choices that define who I will be with and who resonates with me going forward. You, too, can choose a life filled with love in all areas—just get motivated and put some effort into working on yourself. You might just be surprised by how different your life feels when you approach it from a place of acceptance and love

Remember Marianne’s famous words: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”

This week my mantra shall be: Love is the most powerful force in all situations. All my love to you this week! XO Shari
